After the Survey: How Are You Actioning Your Employee Survey Data?

Employee Voice Surveys such as employee engagement and employee experience measurement are great ways to identify the challenges unique to your organization. But the survey is just the first step in an ongoing process of improvement; how you ACT is a primary factor in the success of your employee voice initiative.

The thing is, one size doesn’t fit all; there are different ways we can approach this, and multiple levels in our organizations where we can tackle survey follow up actions. Actions at the direct & operational management levels, the employee level, and the executive level all need to be looked at and how you utilize technology to enable those actions is a key consideration. So where do you begin?

Norm Baillie-David, MBA
Norm Baillie-David

Norm is a recognized expert in employee engagement, organizational development, and strategic planning; and is a seasoned bilingual (English/French) facilitator and focus group moderator, with more than thirty years of experience across Canada and around the world.

Norm’s passion is helping leaders and managers improve performance through a more engaging employee experience. His consulting assignments routinely result in organizations achieving stronger employee engagement, and leadership teams working more collaboratively and effectively together. Norm is well-known for his capability to turn mountains of data into a cohesive, compelling, and insightful story which leads to action.

David Ang, MBA
David Ang

David has been working in research, strategy and consulting for the past 25 years.  Over the course of this time he has worked in and developed deep expertise in quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (i.e. executive interviewing, focus groups, workshops) research methodologies with a focus on both consumer insights and employee engagement.

Most recently, David has worked very closely with his client’s HR and executive teams to analyze, interpret and arrive at insights and action plans based on engagement and other employee research.  One of David’s greatest strengths is his ability to distill a multitude of data and other relevant information into insights and recommendations that are impactful, easy to understand and respect the unique context of each individual client.

David’s experience covers a broad range of sectors including federal, provincial and municipal governments, crown corporations, healthcare organizations, non-profits, associations, as well as private sector clients from hi-tech to financial services to natural resources.
