Here at WorkTango, we’re proud to provide a powerful employee experience solution that’s built for the modern workplace. However, we couldn’t do what we do without the incredible employees who amplify our brand every day by making our mission to improve (work) lives possible.

Today, we wanted to take the opportunity to highlight WorkTango’s amazing Associate Product Marketing Manager, Milan. Milan has been with WorkTango for 3 years.

1. What made you choose to join the WorkTango team?

I joined WorkTango in 2020 with only a few years of work experience. I was looking for a company where I could learn, develop, grow, and gain exposure to all areas of Marketing. Throughout the interview process, I could already tell that WorkTango was going to be the perfect fit. WorkTango’s focus on company culture and employee experience really struck a chord with me. My experiences with the culture at other workplaces in the past have not always been positive, so I wanted to join an organization that truly cares about and invests in its employees. And of course, the last piece that convinced me to become a Tangoneer was WorkTango’s healthy benefits and the perk of having unlimited vacation.  I mean, who can say no to that?

2. What are you currently enjoying most about your role here at WorkTango?

The part of my role that I enjoy the most is bringing new features and functionality to market. WorkTango’s products are constantly being updated and enhanced, so there is always something new to showcase. I enjoy collaborating across the business to bring these new product iterations to the market, and getting customers and prospects excited about their value and impact on delivering an extraordinary employee experience.

3. How have you grown since starting at WorkTango?

I first started at WorkTango in 2020 as a Marketing generalist, mostly focusing on enablement and basic Marketing activities. I quickly moved into a Project Management role, and then finally found my home in Product Marketing.

Since joining the Product Marketing team, I’ve learned more than I could have imagined from a Marketing, Product, Sales and overall business perspective. My growth has been a combination of my own hard work and determination and WorkTango supporting me wholeheartedly along the way. The business has changed quite a bit since I first started, but one thing has remained constant – WorkTango continues to invest in employee growth and career development.

4. What’s your favorite productivity hack?

I’m a big to-do list guy. Every single day in my notebook, I write down exactly what I am focused on for the day, and then physically cross items off my list once they are complete. I get a sense of accomplishment from crossing things off, and I remember them better when I write them down by hand.

Aside from to-do lists, I put my phone on Do Not Disturb for a period of time (1-2 hours) each day, and then check it after so as to not be distracted by notifications that come in throughout the day.

5. What is one thing you can’t live without?

Food, water and shelter. 🙂

Ok, besides the basic necessities, I would say I can’t live without my car. I’m not a car guy at all, but it’s how I see my friends, family, get out to exercise, play golf and have fun. Without my car, a lot of the everyday things I do would be A LOT more difficult, and hitting the links would be near impossible.

6. Who is the most influential person/people for you and why?

My parents. I grew up in a great household with my two brothers, and my parents were always there to support us along the way. Both of my parents worked their butts off to instill good morals in us and made incredible sacrifices to give my brothers and I the life we have today. I’m incredibly grateful for them, and their influence continues to positively impact my life.

Building a culture of appreciation is something we take seriously here at WorkTango. We believe that by putting our people first, ensuring their voices are heard, and making sure every team member feels appreciated for their work, they will continue to drive us forward as an organization. Thank you, Milan, for all you do for us!
